PENTICTON - The Penticton Hospitality Association has officially endorsed Challenge Penticton for a second year in a row.
The association donated $15,000 to the Triathlon Society — funding from the Hotel Room Tax dollars that were recently given back to the association by the city.
“To have the support again this year from the PHA is so important to this community event. We share the same goal to bring a first class race to the City of Penticton and South Okanagan region welcoming athletes and their families, friends and supporters to enjoy the hospitality of our hotels and accommodators, restaurants and local businesses. These are our stakeholders, it’s an essential relationship,” Rennie said in a press release.
"The PHA is delighted to support Challenge. Its a fantastic event and a wonderful opportunity to showcase our community," association Operations Director TJ Hodgkinson said. "This is yet another example of how working collaboratively within the community benefits everyone."
