KAMLOOPS - A 25-year-old man tied up traffic by jumping from on the Overlanders Bridge in Kamloops this morning.

RCMP received several reports about a man hanging from the bridge over the Thompson River at around 8:20 a.m., May 27.

As police arrived he dropped into the water.

The man was able to make it to shore where an officer was waiting, according to a RCMP media release.

The 25-year-old was taken to hospital by ambulance, but he didn’t appear to have any physical injuries as a result of the fall from the bridge, police say.
