OSOYOOS - A rash of thefts kept police busy this past week in Osoyoos.

On April 9, Mounties responded to two calls, the first happening overnight in the Fuji Court area of Osoyoos. A 2010 Black Honda Street motorcycle was taken. The second theft happened in the 9700 block of 134 Avenue. The property owner confronted a man who said he was lost. A few hours later the owner noticed his garage door was open and his father's 1994 Dodge Dakota truck and many items including B.C. licence plates 159RDX and G03387 were stolen.

On April 11, just before 6 a.m. the Osoyoos Fire Department and RCMP responded to a break and enter and arson at Loco Charlie's restaurant at 9913 Main Street in Osoyoos. Apparently thieves broke in and stole alcohol and food, then set the table on fire in the dining area. The fire was extinguished by firefighters and police investigated the scene. The arson investigation continues.
