One dead in Trans-Canada crash near Salmon Arm
There was a fatal collision on the Trans-Canada Highway near Salmon Arm Tuesday.
Salmon Arm RCMP received a report about a two car collision five kilometres east of Canoe at 2:40 p.m. on Oct. 1, according to a press release from police.
The initial investigation suggests a Toyota minivan crossed the centre line and crashed into a Toyota pickup truck.
The driver of the minivan died at the scene of the crash, and no one else was in the car.
The two people in the pickup were taken to hospital with minor injuries by BC Ambulance.
The highway was closed for three hours.
