Okanagan summer concert series features Sarah McLachlan, Barenaked Ladies
A star-studded lineup is coming to a concert series in the Okanagan this summer.
The Mission Hill Family Estate Winery has announced the performers coming to West Kelowna in July.
Award winning artists Barenaked Ladies are playing July 4, Melissa Etheridge and Jewel on July 15 and Sarah McLachlan on July 29.
Tickets are going on sale at noon on April 2, according to a press release.
The winery’s proprietor Anthony von Mandl built the winery's amphitheatre to host concerts like these.
“A concert performance under the open sky at our outdoor amphitheatre is a truly unforgettable experience,” von Mandl said in the release. “There is something extraordinarily special about this intimate hilltop location; a wonderful outdoor concert experience reminiscent of the grand performances staged at Europe’s historic open-air Roman amphitheatres."
The winery is offering various dinner pairings with concert tickets, but each guest will get a glass of sparkling wine to start the night off.
Canadian Music Hall of Famers Barenaked ladies have eight Juno awards and two Grammy nominations.
Melissa Etheridge and Jewel have sold millions of albums each and collected a laundry list of accolades during their careers.
Canadian Music Hall of Famer Sarah McLachlan has 12 Juno awards, three Grammy awards, and sold more than 40 million albums around the world.
