Okanagan Falls business hit by thieves, again

FILE PHOTO - The Centex gas station in Okangan Falls has been closed since last August, but was broken into again earlier this week.

PENTICTON - A South Okanagan business hit by fire and theft in the past was broken into again earlier this week, even though it has been closed for nearly a year.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says police received a report of a break-in at the Centex gas station in Okanagan Falls around 2:20 a.m. on July 3.

Police arrived to find the back door kicked in and copper wiring stolen.

The gas station has been closed since an early morning break-in and fire on Aug. 14, 2016.

On May 16, 2016, a cube van parked in the Centex parking lot burst into flames late in the evening in another fire deemed suspicious by police.

The business was also victimized by a break-in on Jan. 11, 2016.
