Okanagan Fall Wine Festival returns a bit later than usual
The Okanagan Fall Wine Festival is returning later than usual with wineries participating all across the Okanagan.
The "reimagined" festival is back for the first time since 2019 and will run this year from Friday, Oct. 27. to Sunday, Nov. 5, with the focus shifting to "a post crush series of elevated experiences," according to a media release from the festival society today, Sept. 25.
“Our local wineries and producers serve as a pillar for the Okanagan tourism industry, and given the challenges they’ve experienced this year, we need to come together as a community to support them,” Valley First president Simon Mills said in the release. The credit union is a sponsor of the festival.
The two of the main events are the Après Crush evenings, which will be filled with wine, food and entertainment. The first night, Oct. 27, is at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre. The second on Nov. 3., will be held at Manteo at Eldorado in Kelowna.
"Wine, food, travel and connection - it's what makes life worth living. BC and beyond, we'd love to see you at this immersive culinary experience to celebrate our region's incredible beauty and bounty," Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association CEO Ellen Walker-Matthews said in the release.
Wine lovers can also get a ‘TASTE’ passport which gets you six winery experiences of your choosing for $65.
