New Westminster police officer charged after motorist injured in crash

NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. - A police officer in New Westminster, B.C., has been charged in connection with a crash that resulted in a motorist being injured.

The Criminal Justice Branch says prosecutors approved the charge of driving without due care and attention against Const. Graham Bosa.

He was behind the wheel of a police vehicle when the collision occurred last August.

The Independent Investigations Office investigated and forwarded a report to the Crown in November.

Bosa is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Jan. 29.
