MONTREAL - Radio-Canada is reporting that Vito Rizzuto, the reputed head of the Montreal Mafia, has died.
The network says the 67-year-old Rizzuto died at Sacre-Coeur Hospital this morning after battling a lung ailment.
Rizzuto returned to Canada in 2012 after spending six years in prison in the United States.
During Rizzuto's time behind bars, his son Nick and his father Nicolo were both killed.
