Report: Woman hurt was amputee before Vegas thrill ride fall

LAS VEGAS - Records say a woman injured in a fall from a Las Vegas casino roller coaster last month was a "double amputee" before getting on the ride.

Clark County records made public Thursday show that officials ordered the closure of the El Loco ride at the Circus Circus Adventuredome after the March 25 incident, pending investigations and possible modifications.

One document identifies the woman as 25 to 30 years old. It does not specify whether her amputations are arms or legs.

Her name, hometown, injuries and condition have not been made public.

Documents say she was "ejected" from her seat.

The ride opened to the public in February 2014 and passed an annual inspection in January.

Hotel owner MGM Resorts International says it will remain closed until the investigation is complete.
