No sunshine expected for Canada Day long weekend in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – In a word, the weather this Canada Day long weekend will likely be unsettled in Kamloops.

Environment Canada’s forecast calls for clouds and showers right through until the holiday Monday, July 2.

A mainly cloudy day is in store today, June 28, in Kamloops with a 30 per cent chance of showers, the wind southwest at 20 km/h this afternoon and a high of 22 Celsius. Overnight the clouds are expected to persist with a 30 per cent chance of showers early in the evening and a low of 14 C.

More of the same is forecast for tomorrow, with clouds, a 40 per cent chance of late afternoon showers and a high of 24 C.

For Saturday, the below normal temperatures for this time of year are expect to continue with clouds, a 40 per cent chance of showers and a high of 24.

Canada Day on Sunday and holiday Monday don’t look much better with clouds, showers and highs in the low 20s.

Normal temperatures in Kamloops at this time of year are highs of 27 C and lows of 13 C.
