No sign of driver after mangled BMW found near Okanagan Connector

WEST KELOWNA - A mangled BMW is all that was left behind after a rollover near the West Kelowna end of the Okanagan Connector.

Emergency crews responded to reports of a crash Friday evening, March 16, around 10:30 p.m., Kelowna RCMP media relations officer Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey said in a press release.

Crews found a severely damaged gold-coloured BMW 323i that had apparently failed to negotiate the southbound off-ramp coming off the Connector.

Police say the car had rolled and then landed back on its wheels but there was no sign of a driver or passengers. They used a tracking dog and night-vision equipment but failed to find any signs of a driver.

West Kelowna RCMP ask anyone with information about this incident to call 250-768-2880.
