No sign of bystander who rescued woman from Okanagan Lake

KELOWNA – RCMP investigators have a mystery on the their hands as they look into the rescue of a woman from the freezing water of Okanagan Lake today.

Rescue crews arrived to find a woman on the beach off Beach Avenue over the noon hour, March 27, but no sign of the person who apparently pulled her from the water, according to Global Okanagan.

The woman was taken to Kelowna General Hospital were she is recovering from her ordeal.

Police are hoping the rescuer, or any other witness to the incident, comes forward.
