No injuries in Kelowna house fire

KELOWNA - A house was damaged and the owners left homeless after a fire on Wilkinson Street yesterday.

Kelowna Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire around 6:25 p.m., yesterday, June 19. When they arrived they found fire in the wall space of the home and crews had to tear open the walls to get at the fire, Platoon Capt. Tim Light says in a release.

There were no injuries but the house will need repairs and cleanup prior to the owners moving back in. The homeowners are insured, Light notes.
