No foul play but West Kelowna police say man didn't die where his body was found

Donald James Irvine.

WEST KELOWNA - While no foul play is suspected, West Kelowna RCMP say a man found dead down an embankment did not die where his remains were found.

Donald James Irvine, 52, also known as Donald James Cove, was found the afternoon of June 24 in a rural area, one kilometre north of Bartley Road, media relations officer Cpl. Meghan Foster said in a press release.

“While investigators now believe that foul play was not a factor in the deceased male’s death, they do believe they area in which the deceased male was located was not where he died,” the release says.

Foster said police do not know where Irvine lived and are asking anyone who saw him after 10 p.m. June 22 to contact the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880.
