No arrests after police response in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS - Kamloops residents took to social media to find out what was happening in their Brocklehurst neighbourhood last night, after several emergency vehicles responded to a home.

The residence is located on Stardust Street. Residents posted in a community Facebook group, Oct. 10, at least five police cruisers were seen heading to the area within a few minutes just after 10 p.m.

Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says a homeowner called police and reported people at his front door threatening to beat him up. Police attended but by the time officers arrived the suspects had left.

"The complainant was uncooperative and supplied no further details," Shelkie says.

Residents say this isn't the first time there has been trouble in the neighbourhood. One person suggested the police should monitor the block, while another resident claims there is drug activity surrounding at least one house in the area.
