New charges made against Teneycke

A bail hearing for Ronald Teneycke is scheduled for Mar. 25 at the Penticton Law Courts.

PENTICTON — New charges have been added to the latest case against Ronald Teneycke, well known in the South Okanagan for sex offences.

Teneycke is being held at Kamloops Regional Correctional Centre where he was sent after his arrest on March 13 for breaching probation. Crown counsel confirmed additional charges against Teneycke, who is now facing nine charges from the incidents on March 12 and 13. They include breach of probation, failure to adhere to police officer orders, flight from peace officer and dangerous use of motor vehicle.

This is not the first time Teneycke has violated his probation or failed to keep himself out of trouble. He previously served over 10 years in prison for sex assault charges, and has spent time behind bars for violation charges, among others.

Teneycke's bail hearing has been pushed back yet again. Ronald Teneycke will appear in Penticton Provincial court via video conference, tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.
