EDMONTON - Rocker Matthew Good has pulled out of a concert in Prince George, B.C., as he continues to recover in an Edmonton hospital after collapsing onstage Tuesday night.

Good, who was being treated for pneumonia, originally said he would be ready to return to the stage on Thursday, a day after he and co-headliners Our Lady Peace were scheduled to play Prince George.

But a message to fans posted Wednesday night says he has been advised by doctors to skip the show, which will go on without him.

He "remains hopeful" he can rejoin the tour in Kelowna, B.C., on Friday and Abbotsford, B.C., on Saturday.

Good, who hails from Vancouver, was taken to hospital "as a precautionary measure" after collapsing during a performance at Edmonton's Jubilee Auditorium.

In a video from the concert posted on social media, Our Lady Peace singer Raine Maida told the crowd that Good had been sick but "wanted to do the show and he tried to do it and you saw what happened."

The crowd then burst into applause when Maida urged them to give Good a "big hand for even getting up there."

Warner Music said Good was not available for interviews.
