A motorcycle rider who was expected to survive after a crash near Kamloops died in hospital Wednesday night.
Police were called to the scene at Cardu Hill along Highway 5A around 1:30 p.m. on Sept. 6. Paramedics and civilians were already on the scene when Tk'emlups Rural RCMP officers got there, according to an RCMP media release.
His injuries from the single-vehicle collision weren't believed to be life-threatening at the time, according to police.
“The victim, a man in his 70s, sadly succumbed to his injuries later that night,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.
No criminality is suspected and the BC Coroners Service is now investigating his death.
Police did not identify the motorcycist.
