Highway 6 was closed for several hours yesterday after a motorcycle collided with a car.

Police were called to the scene around 5:40 p.m. July 30, according to a release from the Vernon RCMP.

Investigators determined that the motorcycle fell into a speed wobble while travelling east along the 9500-block of Highway 6, when it crossed the centre line and collided head on with a westbound car.

The motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital and their injuries were described as serious. The driver of the car was “not physically injured,” the police report says.

The highway was closed for several hours.

Assisting in the investigation is a member of the RCMP Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service.
