Mostly sunny skies though this week in Kamloops and the Okanagan

This week is expected to start off with a mix of sun and cloud in Kamloops and the Okanagan today, Sept. 11 and tomorrow.

Then it should be sunny through next weekend with highs reaching 29 Celsius in Kamloops.

Kelowna is under an Environment Canada smoky skies bulletin with smoke expected to linger through today, although the Air Quality Health Index rates the health risk as low today, growing to moderate tomorrow.

Kamloops could rise to a moderate health risk this afternoon due to smoke while the North and South Okanagan forecast is to continue at a low risk level.

Vernon is forecast to have a 40% chance of rain today with a high of 20 C and a 70% chance of rain tomorrow with a high of only 17 C.

The Central and South Okanagan are expected to have a mix of sun and cloud through tomorrow with highs of 25 C.

While it’s forecast to be sunny for the rest of the week, highs are expected to reach only reach 26 C in the Okanagan.
