More snow and cold in the Kamloops forecast

The below normal temperature trend that has been prevalent in the Kamloops area since the beginning of February is expected to continue through the weekend and into next week.

KAMLOOPS - Kamloops residents can look forward to a mostly sunny weekend following some snow tonight and tomorrow.

Environment Canada says Kamloops will see a high of 0 Celsius today, Feb. 21, with a wind up to 15 km/h creating windchill in the morning. The forecast calls for increasing cloudiness, a 60 per cent chance of flurries and a low of -5 C overnight. An east wind gusting up to 40 km/h will produce a wind chill of -12 .

Periods of snow, between two to four centimetres, are expected tomorrow with a high of 0 C, but a wind chill of -12 in the morning. Skies should clear overnight with a low of -8 C.

The weather office is calling for sunshine and a high of 1 C on Saturday with an overnight low of -9 C.

On Sunday you can expect a mix of sun and cloud with a high of -1 C and a low of -9 C.

The cold continues on on Monday with a high of -3 C predicted under sunny skies.

Kamloops normal high and low temperatures for this time of year are 6 C and -3 C.
