EL ARISH, Egypt - An Egyptian security official says a car bomb outside a camp for security forces in an eastern city has wounded at least 30 people.
The official says Thursday's explosion took place outside a facility belonging to the Central Security Forces at the entrance of Ismailia, one of the three Suez Canal cities. No further details were immediately available.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak to the press.
Egypt has been hit with a string of car bombs and suicide attacks since the July 3 military coup that ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi, including an attempted assassination of the country's interior minister.
