Most actively traded companies on the TSX

Some of the most active companies traded Wednesday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (15,164.37, down 16.39 points)

Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX:ACB). Healthcare. Down 45 cents, or 5.58 per cent, to $7.62 on 19.9 million shares.

Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX:WEED). Healthcare. Down 35 cents, or 1.25 per cent, to $27.64 on 13.5 million shares.

Aphria Inc. (TSX:APH). Healthcare. Down 11 cents, or 1.09 per cent, to $9.95 on 7.8 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Down four cents, or 1.09 per cent, to $3.64 on 7.5 million shares.

Element Fleet Management Corp. (TSX:EFN). Financial Services. Up 17 cents, or 4.30 per cent, to $4.12 on 7.3 million shares.

Eldorado Gold Corp. (TSX:ELD). Miner. Up four cents, or 3.51 per cent, to $1.18 on 7.2 million shares. The Vancouver-based company announced that an arbitration panel had ruled in its favour in its dispute with the Greek government over its Madem Lakkos metallurgical plant. The panel rejected allegations that a technical study was deficient and was in violation of a transfer contract and the environmental terms of the project.

Companies reporting major news:

Crescent Point Energy (TSX:CPG). Oil and gas. Up 11 cents, or 1.29 per cent, to $8.65 on 4.5 million shares. The Calgary-based company says it has acquired a significant stake in Alberta's promising East Shale Duvernay light oil region, amassing a total of 142,000 hectares of drilling rights for about $112 million. Crescent is the largest oil producer in Saskatchewan and has assets in North Dakota and Utah, but had not until now taken a large presence in its home province.
