Most actively traded companies on the TSX

Some of the most active companies traded Friday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (16,068.25, up 69.24 points).

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Industrials. Up 10 cents, or 3.57 per cent, to $2.90 on 17.2 million shares.

Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Energy. Unchanged at $9.66 on 10.3 million shares.

GeneNews Ltd. (TSX:GEN). Health care. Up 4.5 cents, or 37.5 per cent, to 16.5 cents on 9 million shares.

Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX:ACB). Health care. Down 20 cents, or 2.02 per cent, to $9.72 on 8.4 million shares.

The Green Organic Dutchman Holdings. (TSX:TGOD). Health care. Up 39 cents, or 9.77 per cent, to $4.38 on 7.4 million shares.

Village Farms International Inc. (TSX:VFF). Consumer discretionary. Up $1.26, or 9.01 per cent, to $15.25 on 5.6 million shares.

Companies reporting:

Parkland Fuel Corp. (TSX:PKI). Up $3.25 or 8.8 per cent to $40.07. Parkland reported higher-than-expected profits in the last three months of 2018, because it was able to buy cheap oil in Alberta and transport it on the Trans Mountain pipeline to its Burnaby, B.C., refinery for most of the quarter. The company said Friday that its net earnings in the last three months of 2018, were $77 million — up from $49 million in the year-earlier period, and well ahead of analyst expectations for $63 million, according to Thomson Reuters Eikon.
