Some of the most active companies traded Thursday on the Toronto Stock Exchange:

Toronto Stock Exchange (15,538.70, up 66.09 points)

Aurora Cannabis Inc. (TSX:ACB). Health care. Down one cent, or 0.09 per cent, to $11.20 on 7.2 million shares.

Neovasc Inc. (TSX:NVC). Medical devices. Down two cents, or 7.02 per cent, to 26.5 cents on 5.2 million shares.

Canopy Growth Corp. (TSX:WEED). Health care. Up 39 cents, or 1.24 per cent, to $31.81 on 4.7 million shares.

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Down 72 cents, or 3.50 per cent, to $19.86 on 4.7 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Up six cents, or 1.63 per cent, to $3.74 on 4.6 million shares.

BlackBerry Ltd. (TSX:BB). Wireless communications. Up 50 cents, or 3.10 per cent, to $16.63 on 4.4 million shares.

Companies reporting major news:

WestJet Airlines Ltd. (TSX:WJA). Airline. Down $1.15, or 4.55 per cent, to $24.15 on 733,898 shares. The airline announced the retirement of CEO Gregg Saretsky, effective immediately, after an eight-year run and just months before the airline unveils its new ultra-low-cost carrier Swoop, which has been the source of labour disputes between unionized pilots and the company. He's being replaced by Ed Sims, WestJet's current executive vice-president commercial.
