KELOWNA - A man who died of a heart attack while pinned under a tractor at a vineyard near Kelowna has been identified.
He was Herbert Roy Teather, 79, of Kelowna.
Teather was operating a tractor with an industrial mower attached to trim grass between rows of plants at about 1 p.m. June 6 when he was caught by the blades within the mower attachment. He died at the scene. It's estimated he may have been pinned under the tractor for up to half an hour before emergency personnel were able to reach the remote location off McCurdy Road.
Teather's family have been notified of his death. The B.C. Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate.
