A man was sent to the hospital last week after being hit by a vehicle in Kamloops.

Kamloops police officers responded to the incident Sept. 25, at around 11:40 p.m. in the 400-block of Victoria Street, according to an RCMP press release.

"According to the report, an intoxicated person was allegedly crouched down in the pedestrian crosswalk when they were struck," according to police.

The driver remained at the scene and the man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
