Major delays continue on Highway 97 near Peachland wildfire
The wildfire near Peachland is under control but drivers should be ready for major delays on Highway 97.
The highway is open to single-lane alternating traffic from Callan Road to Renfrew Road, according to DriveBC.
The delay is significant and drivers have been advised to avoid the area if possible.
Optional detours are taking the Okanagan Connector over to Highway 5A, or Highway 33 to Highway 3.
The forest fire is under control at six hectares about three kilometres south of Peachland, and BC Wildfire Service suspects the fire was human caused.
