Four winning tickets sold for Friday's $50 million Lotto Max jackpot

TORONTO - The Lotto Max jackpot drought is over.

There are four winning tickets for last night's $50 million grand prize — each of them worth 12-and-a-half million dollars.

One winning ticket was sold in Ontario, two in the Prairies, and one in British Columbia.

There were also 50 Maxmillions prizes of a million dollars each up for grabs — and 22 of them were claimed by a total of 27 winning tickets.

One of those winning tickets was sold in Atlantic Canada, another in Quebec, 13 in Ontario, 10 in the Prairies, and two in British Columbia.

The jackpot for next Friday's Lotto Max will be approximately $38 million.

Note to readers: This is a corrected story. An earlier version said 27 Maxmillions prizes were won. There were, in fact, 27 winning tickets for 22 prizes.
