KAMLOOPS — This large cat had a rough past before coming to the Kamloops SPCA.

Though Apollo came to the shelter as a stray with wounds and battle scars, staff say he is a "big teddy bear who loves pets and cuddles."

He is a sweet and loving cat who will make a good companion after he gets some dental attention, and a neuter procedure.

Apollo enjoys stretching out in the comfiest places for long cat naps.

The shelter says he might need a little time to adjust initially in a home. He probably would be fine with older children who are cat savvy but not younger kids.

Staff don't know how he would do with other animals, so testing and slow introductions would be very important.

For more information about Apollo contact the staff at the Kamloops SPCA. His animal ID number is 482168.

Visit the shelter's webpage for more information such as location, adoption fees and hours of operation.
