KAMLOOPS —This cat came to the Kamloops SPCA a stray.

The shelter describes Joey as a chilled out, easygoing and loving cat in a media release.

Joey is affectionate, friendly, and loves to be petted and pampered.

He was found possibly in a rural area with another cat, and had sustained an injury to his tail. Joey has since had most of his tail amputated and is expected to make a full recovery.

Even when he was in pain, Joey was a "big fur ball of affection" the release says.

Once healed he will make a great addition to any home as he seems like he is good with animals and possibly children. The shelter reminds potential owners who have pets that slow introductions to other animals is always important.

Joey is a very relaxed cat who will happily lay on your lap for long petting sessions and will make a wonderful companion, though he will not be available to go home until after Feb. 11.

For more information about Joey contact the staff at the Kamloops SPCA. His animal ID number is 479571.

Visit the shelter's webpage for more information such as location, adoption fees and hours of operation.
