KAMLOOPS — The B.C. Liquor Distribution Branch is holding a job fair to fill positions for a soon-to-be B.C. Cannabis Store in downtown Kamloops.

The job fair is being held today, May 1, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Wingate by Wyndham Hotel in Aberdeen, according to a press release.

The B.C. Cannabis Store website currently lists one of its stores at #350-450 Lansdowne Street with the words “coming soon’’. The store will be located within the Lansdowne Village Shopping Centre.

Another government cannabis store at #40-700 Tranquille Road is also listed as “coming soon”.

Today’s job fair will be for positions at the downtown location only.

Job recruiters are looking for a store manager, two assistant managers, six full-time cannabis consultants and eight part-time consultants.

Candidates will also need to submit their applications through an online portal on the Liquor Distribution Branch website.
