VERNON - Nugget is a little dog trapped in a big body and she has no idea.
Nugget, animal identification number 445016, is wonderful, according to SPCA staff. She is a one-year-old Presa Canario with a gentle nature.
She came to the SPCA as an owner surrender because her previous owners were moving homes and couldn't take her. Now, she is looking for her forever home.
Nugget is a big girl but she likes to pretend she's a puppy because she would love to sit on your lap.
A loving family that enjoying going for leisurely walks would be the ideal home for Nugget. Someone with time to make her feel comfortable in her new home is important. She also likes to go for car rides and she does well.
Because Nugget is a large dog she does have some joint problems in her back end, according to the SPCA. Her new family would need to work with the vet to keep her comfortable in the future.
In her previous home Nugget has had experience with other dogs and young children; she gets along well with them.
If you would like to know more about this big sweetheart or would like to come view her, contact the Vernon SPCA. There is more information about Nugget and the shelter online.
