KAMLOOPS – A horse seized as part of an animal cruelty investigation is now healthy and ready for his forever home.

Kamloops SPCA animal care attendant Lyndsay Stewart says Winston is a handsome quarter horse gelding. He’s around eight years old.

Winston is easy to be around and really enjoys people and other horses, Stewart says. He has been assessed under saddle.

She says Winston is quite green, but very sensible and has a lot of ‘try’. He has good ground manners and he ties, leads and trailers well.

“He does have some scaring on his face from being tethered for prolonged periods of time with a halter that was too tight,” Stewart says. “We don't think it takes away from that sweet face though.”

If you’d like an appointment to meet Winston just send an email to rescues@spca.bc.ca. His animal ID number is 448278.
