PENTICTON - Will Jason Voorhees smash a guy with a folding chair at tonight's Friday the 13th Thrash Wrestling match?

If he does he'll be up against a wrestler dressed like the Karate Kid, a guy in a leather biker coat, the world's scariest luchador, an extra from Sons of Anarchy and a man who forgot the 1980s ended 33 years ago dressed in zebra-print spandex.

While it's unlikely an unstoppable killing machine dressed in an out-of-date hockey mask will climb the ropes for a piledriver, mostly due to copyright laws, there will be faces blooded and people screaming and it will be all in good fun.

The Royal Canadian Legion hall at 502 Martin St. is the venue and the event is open to all ages. The doors open at 7 p.m. tonight and tickets in advance are $10 and $15 at the door. The action gets underway at 7:30 p.m.
