LAKE COUNTRY - Lake Country residents who get their tap water from Okanagan Lake are no longer under a boil water notice.
A water main break near Glenmore Road and Okanagan Centre Road on May 23 triggered the boil water notice.
After almost a week, the notice was lifted today, May 29.
The District says in a media release that after using chlorine to disinfect the water supply, bacteria levels are now back to normal, and the amount of chlorine in the water has dropped to normal levels.
The boil water notice for roughly 100 City of Kelowna water customers along the city's northern boundary has also been lifted. The City says in a media release the notice was issued due to the same construction incident in Lake Country.
