OKANAGAN - The Okanagan valley’s Shane Koyczan is performing three shows this weekend with the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra in Kelowna, Vernon and Penticton.

The award-winning author and spoken word artist is best known for his spoken word performances, including his performance at the 2010 Olympic opening ceremonies.

Koyczan’s has a strong social media presence that has allowed him to expand his audience, sharing poetic lyrics and thoughts through Twitter.

Koyczan has toured across the country, and recited his work on international stages. The artist will also be taking the stage in the UK later this spring.

Tickets are still available for this weekend’s performances at the Penticton Cleland Theatre, Vernon Performing Arts Centre, and the Kelowna Community Theatre.
