Knox Mountain Drive fully open

Thanks to great spring weather, Knox Mountain Drive is now fully open for the season. The winter gate opened a couple weeks ago while the City was waiting for temperatures to stop dipping below zero. The first lookout gate to the park is now also open.

Knox Mountain Drive is open to vehicles 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and noon to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays. Knox Mountain Park is open daily between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.

Spring is a great time to get out and explore everything Knox Mountain Park has to offer. Check out the unlimited views from the top of the mountain, pack a picnic lunch, play a game of catch with the kids, wander along the trails and smell the flowers starting to bloom.

For the safety of all park users and wildlife, dog owners are reminded that dogs must be on-leash when in the park. At the base of Knox Mountain is an off-leash dog park, where dogs are free to run and play; in all other areas please be courteous and keep your dog leashed. A maximum fine of $500 can be levied against any person not complying with these responsibilities.
