KELOWNA - It was back in 1978 when Kelowna’s Gospel Mission served its first Christmas dinner.
That tradition continues tomorrow, Dec. 15 from noon to 6 p.m. at 251 Leon Ave. with turkey, ham, stuffing and more. The meal is open to anyone in the community.
“The issue of homelessness has been top of mind in our community in the past year,” Randy Benson, the Gospel Mission’s executive director said in a news release. “It’s a privilege for us to be able to serve our city’s most vulnerable in such a tangible way.”
He noted that the Mission’s needs extend beyond Christmas and any help is greatly appreciated. Contact the Gospel Mission at www.kelownagospelmission.ca to donate, volunteer or give an in-kind gift.
