Kelowna RCMP search for unidentified man in connection to an assault

Police are looking for the public's help to identify a man they say is a person of interest in an ongoing criminal investigation.

The unidentified man was seen in an apartment building in 1900-block of Pacific Court Sept. 20, according to a release.

Police are looking for the man in connection to an investigation into a report of an assault. The details of the allegations have not been released at this time.

"We are turning to the public in an effort to positively identify the person captured in this surveillance video," Cpl Jocelyn Noseworthy of the Kelowna RCMP said in a release. "If you know who this is, please come forward."

The man was described as an African-Canadian man with long black hair, wearing a camouflage toque, dark clothing and glasses.

Anyone with information about this man is urged to call the Kelowna RCMP General Investigation Section at 250-762-3300 or remain completely anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
