While a pedestrian was only slightly injured after being hit in a Kelowna crosswalk last week, RCMP still want to track down the driver who ignored what she did and drove away.
The incident happened just after 4:30 p.m., June 3, as a woman was crossing Underhill Road at Baron Road in a marked crosswalk, according to an RCMP media release.
The driver of a dark coloured sports utility vehicle collided with the pedestrian after, allegedly, failing to do a shoulder check before turning onto Baron Road.
“The pedestrian suffered minor injuries in the collision and sought medical assistance the following day,” RCMP media relations officer Const. Solana Paré said in the release.
The driver was described as a woman between 40 and 60 years old wearing a white shirt. A female passenger was described as between 15 and 25 years old and wearing a red shirt.
