KELOWNA - Mounties are looking for a woman they believe is connected to an alleged theft and subsequent credit card fraud.

RCMP received a report April 26 that a wallet was stolen from a business located in the 2400 block of Highway 97 North in Kelowna.

“Our (complainant) was able to determine that following the theft, as many as three fraudulent transactions were made using the tap feature of both credit and debit cards which were contained inside the wallet,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey Kelowna RCMP spokesman, in a press release. “Investigators have obtained images of a woman they believe may have been involved in at least one of those transactions.”

Anyone with any information on the identity of the woman in the photograph is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300. Or remain completely anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or by leaving a tip online at www.crimestoppers.net.
