KELOWNA - A Kelowna man was getting ready to go to work when he went into his garage to find his pickup truck — and all his kite boarding equipment in it — gone.
Alexey Stepanet says his 2014 White Ram pickup was stolen from his garage in the 200 block of Terrace Hill Place in Kelowna Thursday, June 22, and has yet to be found.
“I was getting ready to go to work when I went into my garage and found both doors open, when I’m pretty sure we had them closed the night before - I was pretty shocked,” Stepanets says. “It’s almost a new truck and I filled it with gas the night before so whoever took it could go pretty far.”
Stepanets says roughly $10,000 of kite boarding equipment was in the pickup when it was stolen.
“Right now I’m waiting on insurance, but I’ll definitely buy more kiting gear when it’s all settled,” he says. “I have some gear that’s been lent to me from friends for the long weekend.”
Anyone with information on the theft, or the whereabouts of the white 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 crew cab pickup truck with a license plate of HP 0534, to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
