KELOWNA - A Kelowna man who knocked off four gas stations in one day last month has now been charged with four counts of armed robbery.

The crime spree started about 7:45 p.m. on March 28 with four gas stations robbed along Highways 33 and 97 over a 24 hour period.

Police suspected they were all done by the same man and turned the cases over to their General Investigation Section who arrested Kyle Watts-Watling, 25, on the morning of March 30.

“This investigation unfolded quickly and our investigators worked diligently to collect evidence that resulted in a swift apprehension of the suspect.” Kelowna RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Meghan Foster said in a news release. “Mr. Watts-Watling remains in custody until his next court appearance which has been scheduled for April 15, 2019.”
