OSOYOOS - The Kelowna Chiefs suffered an overtime loss to Osoyoos Friday night.
The Chiefs were defeated 5-4 by the Coyotes.
Osoyoos started things off in the first period with a goal from Rory Neary at 18:02. The Coyotes scored one more in the first before the Chiefs were able to get on the board thanks to Captain Jordan Salahor (1G, 1A).
The second period was all about the Chiefs with Matt Naka and Ryan Baim both scoring for Kelowna to take the lead.
Brady Mende added one in the third at 7:15 to extend the Chiefs lead but Osoyoos didn’t give up. The Coyotes tied things up before the end of the second period 4-4.
In overtime, Luc Gradisar scored the game winner and Osoyoos won the game 5-4.
Tyler O’Donnell suffered the loss in net for the Chiefs.
Up next, the Kelowna Chiefs are at home on Saturday night as they welcome the North Okanagan Knights. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
