NELSON - A hard fought loss by the Kelowna Chiefs in Nelson on Saturday night.

The Chiefs were defeated 4-3 by the Leafs in their second matchup of a three game road weekend.

Nelson’s Alec Wilkinson opened up scoring in the first period followed by Cole Arcuri but the lead didn’t last long.

Jagger Bowles (1G, 1A) and Adam Beatty each scored in the first 20 minutes of play to tie up the game.

In the second period, Jordan Salahor netted one for the Chiefs to take the short lived lead before Nelson would make the game 3-3.

Then in the third, Nelson pulled ahead to win the game 4-3.

Rutland’s very own Kelowna Chiefs will wrap up their road trip on Sunday with a stop in Grand Forks.
