Keep your umbrellas handy this weekend in Kamloops

There may be some sunshine this weekend, but keep your umbrellas nearby because there is also a good chance of showers.

KAMLOOPS - More rain is possible over the next few days but temperatures should be closer to seasonal normals this weekend as close in on another hot and sunny week.

Environment Canada is calling for temperatures to reach highs of 21 Celsius to 24 C today, June 17, through Sunday before jumping to the high-20s and low-30s as summer officially begins next week.

The normal high for this time of year is 25 C.

Overnight lows are expected to be slightly be below the seasonal normal of 12 C, with temperatures expected to dip to 9 C to 11 C over the weekend.

A mix of sun and cloud is expected today, followed by increasing cloud and a chance of showers Saturday and Sunday.
