CLEARWATER - A 21-year-old Kamloops woman has died after falling over a cliff at Wells Gray Provincial Park.

RCMP say in a news release that officers received a report at 7:44 p.m. last evening, June 13, that a woman had fallen over the cliff at Spahats Falls.

Police attended and determined the woman had been with another woman and two men, when she fell between 400 to 500 feet. Police and the B.C. Coroners Service are investigating all circumstances of the incident, the release states.

At this time, police do not believe any criminality was involved in her death.

RCMP recovered the woman's body today, with assistance from the Clearwater, Kamloops and 100 Mile search and rescue teams, along with support from B.C. Park Rangers and Yellowhead Helicopters.
