KAMLOOPS – A man who became separated from his friends while riding ATVs near Kamloops last night has been found safe and sound.

Alan Hobler with Kamloops Search and Rescue says they received a call from the RCMP at about 10 p.m., June 4, requesting help to find an ATVer who ran out gas after becoming separated from the group he was riding with.

Search and rescue volunteers spent the night looking for the man in the Mount Lolo area north of Paul Lake.

“We were searching all the roads. There are numerous roads up there he could have been on,” Hobler says.

The missing man lit a small fire to stay warm overnight. This morning he walked out and bumped into his friends who were also out searching.

Hobler says the missing man was in good condition.
